Hardware Engineer / Electronics Engineer (System Integration / Mixed Signal Design for Wearables)

Your mission

  • You take ownership for system integration and improving heat / power management of our battery-driven laser electronics in close collaboration with the R&D Team.
  • You design and miniaturize mixed signal circuitry in close alignment with our Digital Hardware & Embedded Software Team. This will expand into integrating analog signal blocks into our current ASIC designs.
  • You routinely design helper PCB boards and carry out electrical characterization and soldering jobs.
  • You are embedded in a team with a Senior Electronics Engineer and our Electronics Lead. You work together with technicians, engineers, scientists, and developers.

Your profile

  • Master degree in Electrical Engineering plus mininum 3 years of professional experience in a similar position (or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering plus mininum 5 years of professional experience in a similar position).
  • Area of Specialization during studies: Electronics / Mixed Signal Design / Signal Processing.
  • Expert knowledge in PCB design and electronics characterization.
  • Expert knowledge in power, heat and battery management.
  • Experience with designing analog electronics and laser drivers.
  • Experience with analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design.
  • Touch points with embedded systems, IoT, EMV.
  • Good overview of COTS components, experience with obsolescence management.
  • You are a hands-on, pragmatic and solution-oriented engineer with intrinsic motivation.
  • You take ownership, communicate clearly and are willing to walk the extra mile.
  • A thorough and independent work ethic, reliability, and team spirit.
  • Ability to work on-site in Adlershof (no remote work) with an existing work permit for Germany.
  • Proficiency in German and English.
